Heidi Alsop, LPC
Mental Health Therapist
I support clients in their autonomy as they make changes in their lives in a side-by-side journey. My philosophical and theoretical background is in Existential Psychotherapy and Psychodynamic Theory. I have nearly 5 years of experience in residential care with children and adolescents, and their families, and have also worked in outpatient settings with individuals, children, families, adolescents and adults. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, knitting, travel, playing the piano and time with friends and family.
My areas of specialty include religious trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, childhood trauma, faith transitions, gender affirming care, anxiety, and depression. I have training in CBT, DBT, ADHD assessments, WPATH letters, adoption, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
Taking the first step in getting support for yourself and/or your family can be challenging for many reasons. If you think that I may be a good fit, please reach out and we can explore your options in a strengths-based and trauma-informed setting.
