Kathleen Leavitt, M.Ed., LMFT
Director of Clinical Operations/Therapist
My passion is to support those that struggle with reliving past experiences, anxiety, fear, and negative thinking that makes it difficult to enjoy daily life, relationships, and simply being in one's own skin. I support people in reclaiming their lives, rewriting their narratives, and finding a new way forward in life. I am passionate about supporting people in overcoming shame and building a stronger sense of self. I can provide you with a safe space to process and explore, as well as concrete, evidence-based tools to address the things you are struggling with most.
I specialize in addressing anxiety and trauma. I incorporate anti-racist and trauma-informed practices in my work with each person. In this work I utilize evidence-based clinical approaches such as Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR to help clients to make changes in thinking and responses to challenging situations.
My overall goal with each person is to support improved quality of life and a better relationship with one’s self. Difficult and traumatic life experiences can change the way that we see ourselves and it takes support and guidance to heal and shift internalized beliefs. I would be honored to provide such support in your healing process when you are ready.
